Shanghai Museum

The Shanghai Museum is a museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.

The building is 24 meters high with five floors, covering a total area of 38,000 sqm.

The museum was founded in 1952 and has a collection of over 120,000 pieces, including bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, furniture, jades, numismatics, paintings, seals, sculptures, minority art and foreign art.

It moved to the current building in 1996. Its main galleries are:
